Tina and Amanda
Tina Louise has been a author, performer and actress in the US for the past forty years. Her most well-known role is because of her portrayal as Ginger Grant (in the 60s television show Gilligan's Island). Her Two's Company musical was the first production she acted in during her stage debut. Following that, she performed on Broadway in various productions until 1957 when Li'l Abner became huge at the National Theater. Within the same calendar year she debuted her debut music album called This is Tina Time. Her first appearance into Hollywood was as Griselda as Griselda in the film God's Small Acre, which was a 1958 film. The film received widespread praise. Louise won the Golden Globe Award in the New Star of the year category. She was enrolled at Actors Studio, New York at the time, and later became Lee Strasberg's pupil. The next notable role she played was Ginger Grant, which CBS was the first to sign her on for in 1964. Louise continued to have a successful professional career, balancing Broadway TV with Hollywood as well as portraying a more serious in contrast to the glamour doll image she was perceived. Amanda Tapping..........................Amanda Tapping is best known for her acting roles as Samantha Carter in the series Stargate. The series starred her as SG-1's Helen Magnus and Sanctuary. However, in recent years she was also a prominent director for popular TV shows such as Supernatural and The 100. Her birth date was August 28, 1965 in Essex. As a young girl, 3years old, her family moved her to Toronto in Canada where she spent her childhood. When she was selected in 1997 to play Samantha Carter she settled down in Vancouver and has been living there ever since.
